"Ibid Styles Nairobi remains a great value though the some changes are for the better - additional seating areas for the ground floor restaurant - and some are worse - enclosing all outdoor spaces that were previously open, such as the rooftop areas (why?) and even ones on the ground floor. The good: The beds are still comfortable enough though harder since I suspect they no longer use the Heavenly Mattress. The sheets are crisp and clean, the staff very attentive, the general decor of the rooms and public spaces make the hotel inviting. It appears that management does not pay attention to detail: There was water dripping from the ceiling in the main restaurant, the main floor men’s room could have someone fix fixtures, dings and bumps around the hotel, things that a walkthrough with a checklist would solve. Even though a painting and other maintenance is underway, rather than disguising materials as would be done in the rich economies, junk is easily seen on the mezzanine level. Why is a third-world standard being used? Stop letting the staff down."

"It was a wonderful stay. The staff were super friendly and professional, including the concierge folks and housekeeping. Notably, Joshua, Mary and Miriam, in the dining room room and John were amazing. Our room was rather small, but still very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the spa treatment as well and the dining breakfast options were amazing and I appreciate it that they had vegan options for myself. We will definitely come back for future trip trips. "

" Conveniently situated just a three-minute walk from Village Market, the hotel offers easy access to a vibrant mix of unique boutiques, local artisans, and an array of fantastic restaurants. From the moment I was picked up at the airport, the service was exceptional. My “Chieftain” — the wonderful Barbara — took the time to ask about my preferences for the trip and offered thoughtful, tailored recommendations. She even accompanied me on a Friday shopping trip and arranged for special items to be delivered directly to my room. The atmosphere at Tribe is a perfect blend of modern luxury and eco-conscious design. Striking artwork throughout the property evokes a sense of awe, while the serene, nature-inspired setting creates a feeling of calm and retreat. Be sure to visit the indoor-outdoor restaurant. I highly recommend the seafood soup — a perfectly balanced dish bursting with rich, layered flavors that truly delighted the palate. Having tasted fish soups in renowned culinary cities like Lyon and Marseille, I can confidently say Tribe’s version holds its own — compliments to the chef! The true gem of the experience, however, is the staff. Friendly, courteous, and genuinely attentive, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was just right. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Nairobi — and there’s no question where I’ll be staying."
