Great property right in the middle of the CBD. Hotel has a lot of history and staff is very knowledge about the property. Maxwell who was in the 1902 Club Lounge was truly amazing and made the stay very memorable. If you can spend a little extra for the Club Lounge, it is worth it.

amazing hotel, with lovely attentive staff, who were available to help 24 hours around the clock. Special mention for Alice in the thorn tree cafe, Whitney at the spa, & my spa therapist ( i can't remember her name as I was unwell, but the BEST SPA treatment).

Charming hotel that retains its 1930's ambiance. Rooms are generously sized with all amenities. The bathrooms are a bit antiquated (and small) but this is maybe in keeping with the overall style. A great place to stay in Nairobi, at prices equal to, or more reasonable, than many 5* competitors

Everyone was very welcoming and genuinely nice whether it was the service in their 3 restaurants, walking around in the hotel, or asking for information. Always willing to help even for a visit at the city market or a quick history tour of the hotel of the great explorers Stanley and Livingstone. Live music 3 times a week and the buffets were always very tasty.
