Staff was very helpful and personable. Great location, close to great food, monuments and ghost tours. Breakfast was also a very nice plus. Overall very pleased with our stay.
The room was clean, the breakfast are cooked on property and tasted good. Fresh coffee and pastry are available, as well as snacks. The property is located in a wonderful area that makes it a short walking distance to a lot of amenities. The room staywas quiet and spacious.
I've never been to a bed and breakfast. The couple that run this one are wonderful people and very kind. Breakfast was excellent and they were very considerate.
Other than being handed the wrong key while checking in and almost being locked out of the room for the evening, it was a lovely stay and the day staff were great. They really should have a back up service at night for incidentals like pipes bursting, power outages or when the ghost cat is on a tear.
We've stayed in the Tillie House for several years and it has always been a pleasure until last year. Previously therooms seemed clean but either there were NO Tvs in the room or they didn't work. I got a bunch of run around when asked about it. This year we gave them another chance. We love the Tillie house and the breakfast is always good, but it seems like the overall property and house maintenance has gone downhill. In past years, parking was assigned. There's only 4 near the house and the other two are down the back alley away from the property all together. This is a concern, especially for riders during bike week. One room leaked water and ruined ones smart watch. It was said that they knew about the leak but still keep renting the room out. Multiple complaints about clogged or nonflushing toilets. They got our rooms mixed up the first night and the Tv in that room didnt work. They claimed the cable was out but there was NO box or cable going into the small 20 some in TV and it was not a smart TV either. Again, excuses about the TV in the Tillie Pierce room. Then when we finally got into the room we reserved the next night, the TV in that room was the smallest I've ever seen. It couldn't have been any bigger than 18" or so.. Too tiny to see much from where it would have to be watched, but I guess it was a TV and the cable actually worked in the Hettie Shriver room. This stay was not as pleasurable as in the past. It's really disappointing! For now wewill not be returning
Not a wonderful BnB. Good location and a lot of possibility but not good execution. Breakfast not good. Communication lacking. No personal touch expected at a BnB.
This place was awesome. I felt like I belonged there. I wish I could have stayed much longer, and I will stay again. The Suite was spectacular for the price!
First time staying at this B&B. House was as expected for a home quilt in the 19th century. They have managed to keep the old charm while accommodating modern necessities.
We had a great time staying here and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We’ll be back!

Disliked: Staff & service
We were looking for a quaint b&b getaway for our anniversary. This property was highly rated and the pictures of the rooms looked great. However, once we arrived and got to our room we were quite disappointed. The bedspread and sofa had stains on them and the room was quite cold throughout the night. there was the added bonus of a window air conditioner sitting on the floor of the sitting room area. The cable tv was also out and when brought to the attention of the inn keeper the following morning she said oh yeah, sorry about that. This is something that could’ve been told to us prior to us checking in. We didn’t see anybody until the morning we left.
We have been to many bed-and-breakfasts and were disappointed with the breakfast offerings. The food was not hot, and the biscuits appeared to be from Pillsberry.
With so many choices in the area, we’ll try a different one next time.
