"Nice weekend stay. The room was on the main floor and we backed our car right up to the door. Made for easy unloading/loading. View from the room was very nice with the lake close by. The property needs some TLC as it appears weathered and dated. The pool/hot tub was relaxing but the pool was freezing. Breakfast was good with a nice choice of hot/cold items. It was the same both days, not sure if they switch things up. Lots of seating indoors and out. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows just right. We had a great sleep both nights. TV was good with a decent selection of channels. The room also had a fridge but lacked a microwave. There was one in the lobby if needed. Great view of the sunrise right from our room was a bonus."

"Charming cottage with 4 bedrooms. Beautiful sunsets with a dock to walk out on to enjoy the view. Lovely living room facing the water to hear the waves crashing in while still in the cottage. The town of Beaverton, harbour and pier is a beautiful little town on the water. The family enjoyed our stay, memories were made here."

"My husband and I (and are two dogs) had a great time at John's place. Despite the weather preventing us from maximizing our time there, there was plenty to do; the kitchenette was stocked with more than we expected, televisions, and LOTS of games. We spent our two nights hunkered in, reading, eating, enjoying the sounds of the rain and waves, and making fires (kindling, dry wood, and newspaper provided). John was a gracious host and we look forward to returning in the fall or next summer to make use of the beautiful outdoor space and dock."

"It was good…but not 5 star great…but it’s the only hotel in the area. Stayed for a wedding. Had the casino buffet…Get a player card for the savings because it’s not worth 50.00… tolerable and enough choices for 20.00."

"Had a lovely visit at the cottage. We had a mini family reunion and had lots of space to do it. It was so nice to be so close to the lake, we spent lots of time swimming. Quiet neighbourhood, nice locals. The Independent store had everything we needed grocery wise. Thank you to our hots who were great with communicating. Spiders, lots of outdoor spiders lol"

"Overall the property was good . Great location , used the beautiful pool, and hot tub daily with adults and kids . Lots of bedding, fans for cooling the hot nights and lots of room . The area was a very quiet neighbourhood and laid back . The Lagoon city canals and Lake Simco were with visiting and enjoying . Definitely would recommend this property for a large group ."
