Not as Expected
We stayed 6 nights with our children ages 8, 10 and 12. The location of the property is central and near the airport but found it to be a good distance to Georgetown for groceries, boat rental, water taxi, etc. The property was not very clean with piles that looked to be swept but just left. There were several pieces of silverware that had chunks of food left on them which made us feel we needed to wash everything. The AC unit in the primary bedroom didn't cool to a comfortable temperature. The shower valve in the front bathroom needs to be replaced as you could get hot or cold water but not warm. The front door lockset doesn't latch unless you slam the door. My daughter and wife ended up with bug bites on their legs after they slept in the back left bedroom. The property owner blamed us that we didn't shower before coming into the house. We always showered but after we came into the house. A guest in unit 2 brought up that he received many bug bites while sitting on the furniture. I can't say for certain the source of bites but seemed very coincidental. Basement windows are left partially open which allows bugs into the home?? Primary bed is hard. The owner stated that we should have shared our displeasure so they could fix things. When I am on vacation the last thing I want to think about is coordinating repairs, cleaning and being a complainer. These are all pretty obvious things the ownr has made a decision to not address. We have never experienced a property like this.
