"Beware the front desk staff… Check-in is listed at 3PM. I arrived very early, understandably the front desk was not able to check me in. I can understand being frustrated with guests expecting to be checked in early - fair enough. With that said, the front desk representative, named "Arnell," was extremely rude. Did not greet me when I arrived, provided curt one word responses, and was just an overall miserable person to interact with. Arnell told me to return at 12PM, as the room would be ready then. She was gracious enough to ask if I wanted my luggage stored until I returned. When I returned at 12PM to see if I could check in, again I was met with massive attitude. Arnell simply told me that "check-in is at 3PM," contradicting what she had said earlier. Okay, no problem. I ask for my luggage back while I wait, and she gives me a look like she stepped in a pile of dog crap. Eventually, she has another representative get my luggage for me. I return at 3PM. Now Arnell says that the room is still not ready, and to return in 25 minutes... But check-in is formally listed as at 3PM, and they had known that I have been here since before noon. Ultimately, I wasn’t able to check-in until 3:40 PM (40 minutes after the formal check-in time). Later, I found out that some other guests I was traveling with was offered to check-in early for a fee… They were checked in 9AM, whereas I was made to wait close to 7 hours…"

"Hotel was reasonable good. The bathrooms are in need of upgrading. Our shower had seen better days and the noise from next doors shower was pretty loud. This provided daily 6am wake up call for us. Cleaning could have been better. No replenishment of items such as cotton pads etc. No water provided in room. Rooftop swimming pool small with just a few beds. On a positive the location is good and the staff are generally helpful. Unlikely to select to stay there again though."

"Shower water took a long time to get warm some days. Loved the decor, room and lobby were spacious, walking distance to everything, wish we had a balcony"

"Perfect location to walk to most attractions. Bathroom is pretty tight but the room itself was spacious. "

"Everything was really nicely done. For once I had enough covers without having to call downstairs; checkout is later than most, and food is available pretty much every waking hour. I don't feel like I can take a star off for the exorbitant parking ($48) or breakfast ($38) but want to mention it. New Orleans is expensive! Staying more than one night unlocks some discounts and gives a bit of time to enjoy the amenities. We were only there for the night, unfortunately. The hotel is an easy walk to the river and the French Quarter, and is attached to a mall (didn't go to the mall but it seems to be an upscale one)."
