Lakeside Stone Cottage on 6 acres on Hammond--pet friendly

Lakeside Stone Cottage on 6 acres on Hammond--pet friendly

10/10 Excellent
"I have stayed at MANY temporary homes through VRBO and AirBNB. Our stay at the Lakeside Stone Cottage is BY FAR my favorite! My family of four stayed in the cottage for four nights. The home was charming and clean. It had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer worked well. What set this place apart was the host and the location. Our host was extremely communicative. She was responsive to every query we had. She helped us find hikes in the area. The location is just as described, but even better. It is so close to Mount Shasta, hiking, swimming, waterfalls, and charming towns. The home itself is secluded and quiet. Sitting on the back porch, you hear nature! You also see deer, squirrels, spoonbills, rabbits, ducks, and birds! At night, you can see bats keeping the insect population in check. The lake is beautiful to look at all day long. The hosts provided a canoe and a paddleboard. My family spent an entire day on the lake. We had the WHOLE LAKE to ourselves, minus seeing one family of four that kayaked by and fished far away from us for a short period of time. This cabin was perfect for us! I have already recommended it to all my friends. Book this place!! You will not regret it!!"

"A very nice and comfortable place to stay. We got upgraded to the suite. It's conveniently located to gas stations, grocery store Starbucks and fast food. Also the clerk named Preston was a true asset. He was very upbeat, pleasant and knowledgeable able. We enjoyed stopping there."

Tranquil 4-bedroom house with AC in charming Weed

Tranquil 4-bedroom house with AC in charming Weed

8/10 Good
"We had a great one-night stay with our large group (including our dog and 4 kids). The home was clean, spacious, and comfortably accommodated everyone without any issues. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. The only minor hiccup was that the induction cooktop didn't work well for us as it started creating smoke when we tried to use it. Worth noting for future guests who plan to cook during their stay.Check-in is done through the motel reception, which was straightforward. Overall, no complaints. I would recommend for groups looking for a clean, roomy spot for a short stay!"

Shasta Cottage, A romantic get-away in Mt. Shasta.

Shasta Cottage, A romantic get-away in Mt. Shasta.

8/10 Good
"The cabin is nice. It is large enough for two people. Our Stay was for only two nights. It is our tenth Stay since June 27th. Was told to sign a rental agreement a little while ago which was multiple pages. Unnecessary for a two-night Stay, in my opinion. It escaped me that a $300 security deposit was required. It was the first time in 10 Stays that a security deposit was required. We received our deposit back. The Stay is touted as Vet owned but you deal with a rental agency which turned out to be OK. The Internet WIFI is very slow. The TV is connected through the Internet so be prepared to watch the buffering circle a third of the time. We were better off using our iPhones which had one or two bars, 5G, for Internet."

500 Acre Ranch on the Foot of Mount Shasta.

500 Acre Ranch on the Foot of Mount Shasta.

10/10 Excellent
"Location! Location! Location! Amazing views. We stayed 4 nights and wished it had been longer. Not a neighbor in sight, just the cows and 2 horses in the pasture. View the stars without light pollution. Feels like the middle of nowhere with town and grocery shopping just a short drive away. The primary bedroom and living room have AC that keeps everything cool with fans in each room. Everyone slept great. Excellent shower. Plenty of towels and hot water for 4 people. Front yard fenced for the doggy to run and fetch ball. Babbling creek with hammock right out the front door. Awesome! You will love the views in the updated kitchen. Bring your ground coffee or beans to grind and enjoy the porch in the morning. So many things to do within an hours drive or just do nothing and hike/fish the ranch. For the evenings lots of DVDs and boardgames. No worries for your teens we were able to use the phone "hotspot" to stream movies on the gigantic Smart TV. We would love to return one day."

"Very nice cottage! Comfortable and clean. We did have a hiccup with the check in code, but the owner was very responsive and got it sorted out right away. We really enjoyed kitty Genesis who was quite happy to hang out with us, even cuddled with our son! He was quite sad to say goodbye to him and this property. Thanks for a great stay!"

Beautiful Mt.Shasta View Home on large Acreage

10/10 Excellent
"Comfortable & clean home, stunning views, everything we needed. This house was a perfect retreat for us and our dogs. It truly felt like home away from home. The beds were comfortable & the house/surrounding area very quiet (we slept better than we have in a WHILE), the kitchen was well-stocked, and we enjoyed the BBQ, playing cornhole & other games, and watching a couple Dodgers games. The view of Mt. Shasta was stunning, and all the different plants, trees, and animals around the property made the place so serene. The host was extremely easy to communicate with, too. This property is one we will probably revisit in the future."
