"What a charming hotel, full of character and perfectly located for exploring the local area. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, going above and beyond to assist with parking and offering helpful recommendations for local walks and amenities. Our room was stunning, beautifully decorated, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. Thoughtful touches such as tea and coffee-making facilities, luxurious bath products, and everything needed for a relaxing stay made all the difference. The attention to detail throughout the hotel really enhanced our experience, and it was clear that guest comfort is a top priority. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return."

"Lovely place to stay when attending a wedding nearby. Able to pick up keys early to help with getting to the wedding on time. Lovely room and helpful to have a breakfast hamper delivered to the room to set us up the next morning."

"Had our old army boy reunion. It was perfect for us, met all or needs and requirements. Bar was excellent plenty of space and really quite so we could have a great catch up."

"I booked a twin room which was clean and a good size. The mattress on my bed was very uncomfortable so I swoped it with the pull out bed underneath our bed. The mattress was smaller than the original mattress and was too small for the base but it was very comfortable, a good mattress. I didn’t mention this to the staff at the hotel. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work efficiently but otherwise excellent. The meals were very good and delicious."

"It was pleasant enough. The staff we encountered were really friendly. The decor is a bit dated. Smelt a bit fusty … but it’s an old building so what do you expect. Lovely grounds. I struggled to sleep as the bed was too soft for me (personal preference). Not sure I’d stay again but did the job for the evening."
