"My wife and I enjoyed this location 6 yearscago with a couple of our grandchildren. This latest trip was a chance for us to get away on our own and enjoy some down time. With it being in downtown Gatlinburg, you can easily walk wherever you want. There's plenty to do if you're traveling with children or if it's just a couple's trip, you can take your pick of activities. You can certainly drive back to Pigeon Forge easily if you want to visit The Island but for my money and the ease of walking, Gatlinburg and the Edgewater Hotel is the place to stay. Every dtaff member we encountered was pleasant and didn't ignore us. We always choose a room that overlooks the Little Pigeon River that flows below and with a view of downtown. The balcony is small but 2 people can sit out and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or even people watch throughput the day. Every time we go, this is wherevwe stay."

"This is a really cool place. Yes- it is old. Yes it could use some work but the location is excellent, the stream is cool and you can walk to just about anything in Gatlinburg. Price is right also. The kids loved the pool"

"Was clean smelt air freshener seemed like all the time. Check was easy and the lady was very nice. Only thing missing was Continental breakfast and a balcony with a view of something beside a rooftop."

"It was a little outdated. But it was still a great place. Lots of amenities. The staff was amazing. My only complaint is that there is only one microwave and it’s in the lobby. The rooms didn’t have a microwave. And the hotel had an odd smell. But everything else was perfect "
