"If we were designing a suite for ourselves, this would be the blueprint. A large bedroom, extravagantly large bathroom and a spacious walk-in wardrobe / dressing room. All set in a restored 18th century merchant's house. Breakfast was really tasty and the staff were a joy!"

"Leijay resort exceeded my expectations in many ways. The management and staff were very helpful and kind, the breakfasts were great and the environment was fantastic: a lovely pool, nice rooms and lots of birds and other wildlife all around. It is not next to Galle Fort, but it is easy to get to and from this quiet location to downtown. I will come back here!!"

"The hotel was spotless, the staff friendly and helpful. Try the coconut pancakes or the arrack drinks from the bar. Absolutely delicious! The pool was wonderful and very clean. "
