Charming Farmhouse 10 acres near MidOH Race, Clear Fork & Mt Gilead State Parks

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our stay in this charming farmhouse. The property was beautiful and we saw deer every day from the front porch overlooking the farm fields and gorgeous fall foliage. The house looked exactly like the pictures so no surprises which we appreciated. It was remodeled very nicely but also maintained its historic charm, and we spent a very comfortable week here. All the spaces let us hang out together and also have a bit of privacy if desired. The house was also well stocked with all the essentials, including lots of paper products which is always a surprising bonus, and lots of plush towels. Shawnte was such a wonderful host and the communication could not have been better. She responded quickly - and patiently - to all my questions, never making me feel like I was a bother, and even allowed us to check in early which was so convenient. Check out was an easy, simple process as well which we really appreciated. We loved our stay in this serene, beautiful house and would definitely stay here again for future visits."

10/10 Excellent

"Our family had a wonderful at The Hatchery! From the moment we stepped onto the beautiful front porch with that gorgeous stained glass window, it felt like home! The layout was perfect for our family to be able to spread out and relax.- it was also THE BEST hide and seek house for all ages! The kids will remember that forever. We all loved hanging out in the well stocked kitchen, snacking around the kitchen island. When we sat down for meals, the dining room table was big enough for our whole family to be together (and then some!) The sun room was perfect for quiet morning reading. All of the bedrooms were comfortably dark and quiet. We loved the way that the history of the house was preserved while having all of the modern amenities. Thank you for hosting us in your home!"

Cute and Cozy Shelby Mansfield Mid Ohio

8/10 Good

"My family & I had a lovely stay at Art’s house. It’s in a typical OH small town surrounded by farms with older homes; there were some really nice updates inside! The beds were comfortable, which my husband and I definitely appreciated between the drive down from the northwestern part of OH & how busy we were hiking & sightseeing. We also enjoyed the coffee provided, while our kids liked the granola bars & the little jar of candy on the table! Art was great as a host. He answered any questions/ concerns we had faster than any host we’ve interacted with over the years of using Vrbo! We asked him if there were extension cords we could use the first night & he took the time to run one to the house while we were out to dinner! I also lost a necklace during our stay. Art let me know he looked for it shortly after we left, & though he didn’t find it, I was touched he made the effort to do so!The reasons we didn’t give five stars are due to a few cleanliness & upkeep issues. We check for bedbugs before bringing our belongings into anywhere we stay. Thankfully, we didn’t find any signs of them but there were some carpet beetles under the cushions of one of the couches. We also noticed some cobwebs behind one of the beds, a piece of hair on the side of one of the cereal bowls in the cupboard, trace mouse droppings under the sink (not unusual for towns near farms & in fall), & the front door screen was slightly ripped from its frame. Everything else was really great though!"

Quiet cottage nestled in the woods

10/10 Excellent

"This "cabin in the woods", as we call it, was an excellent getaway spot. It is clean, cozy, well-decorated, with plenty of character. It has a beautiful sunroom and a lovely deck out back. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there. The check in and out was easy and communication with the host was smooth. Highly recommend this Vrbo location."

"Cathy and Mike were amazing hosts, couldn’t ask for better. They were attentive, respectful, kind, friendly, & gave us so many great recommendations! We brought our dog Maverick and he had so much fun running around, swimming, & playing! Cathy and Mike were so sweet to Maverick which means so much to us! We had so much fun exploring Galion!"
