This was our first time staying at Aldrich Guest House, but we will definitely be back. Our hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! A short walk to the shops, the location was perfect. We really enjoyed our last minute getaway stay.

I liked the friendliness of the owners and staff. The breakfast was incredible.

Beautiful old building, redone in contemporary style. Very comfortable and clean. Outdoor area has a private New Orleans courtyard vibe. Great location-we parked the car and walked to everything we wanted to do.

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary at Lefevre Inn and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The resort is small (only 11 rooms and a few cabins), so it is quiet and low-key. The location is wonderfully removed from downtown Galena, but still close enough to everything to make day trips easy and relaxed. This was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast. The home was beautiful and decorated for Halloween 🎃 The room was clean. We had a private bathroom. The food was wonderful and Carol was a wonderful hostess. We will definitely recommend to others and plan to stay again in the future.

This has to be the most incredible place on earth! Loved visiting with Candence while there and the 4 HUGE turkeys, beautiful buck, so many birds! Cozy & Roomy! Great place to stay if you are visiting the Galena area. Just east of town. The amenities and the on-site restaurant are great!

The stay was good. We were celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary and wanted to be alone, away from the kids. There was only one small problem: we were in a room directly across from a couple with about five children; they would not stay in the rooms and spent a lot of time screaming and running up and down the hallways. No one seemed to care, and that was both nights between 11-11::30pm. We are elderly; afraid to go out of the room for fear of being knocked over by one of the children. I know...

The place looks like a fantasy, a castle in Illinois, each room different, unusual, charming. Most charming: the owners, who very sincerely want their guests to love the place. Our room was huge, with a gigantic spa bath and a fireplace; our dog was welcome (for a fee); the breakfasts were stunningly good (included in the room price); the grounds are lovely; the area is fun, pretty and interesting.

We needed to change hotels quick, as kids were along and they wanted a pool to swim in. A few surrounding hotels pool's were closed, and this one wasn't. Sure glad we got to stay here!! Super clean, kitchenettes in each room, ours had a full size fridge, 2-burner cook top, full size microhood, and lots of space! Hot breakfast was very good too. Great location by local brew houses and walking to many places. Easy access to hwy. Only issue were the trains at night that we didn't know about yet...

Freshly renovated plus new addition staff was still working out routine but made evert effort to make sure I had a great stay.

Have been there before and just discovered this time that there is a park & trail on water behind hotel. Plus it is close to do a day trip over to Galena!

Quaint and out-of-the-way, very unexpected from what I thought it was going to be like, but in a great way. It felt very secluded (maybe because we drove in at night during a Severe Thunderstorm) and private, which led to the fun and adventure of family vacation! Although the rooms and bathrooms are dated - updated as well as they can be within the footprint of the layout - everything was super clean! My husband even noted how clean the grout was in the bathroom, which is something rarely seen...

The front desk and shuttle service was excellent! Would highly recommend!!
