There are 2 main touristy areas/squares but plenty of choice. Does get busy but this makes for a nice atmosphere. Large shopping centre nearby which is great and lots of parks surrounding which would be great if you have children.

The old town area is great with lots of reasonably priced restaurants and tapas bars. The "Strip" is located along the promenade with the usual bars and clubs. Fuengirola has a good mix of traditional Spanish areas and party areas. Great train link.

Fuengirola has a fabulous train network every 20mins from Malaga to Fuengirola with lots of stops in-between Benamadena, Torremolinos ,Malaga Airport etc Great cheap buses routes to many local places Mijas etc.lots of bars, restaurants and shops

Have family over here so have been several times. Despite the "brits abroad" reputation it's good there's still a nice Spanish vibe to the place, the beaches are great, the place is kept clean and and it's got a good selection of eateries and bars.

We visit places like Fuengirola to experience Spain and the Spanish way of life. Although there are numerous "British" bars along the promenade, the town has an abundance of other bars and restaurants. The rail connection to Malaga is excellent

"Excellent apartments in a good location. Very close to the beach, bars and restaurants. Very quiet at night which was nice. Didn’t use the pool as we went on the beach each day. Better than we had expected. Very clean and excellent value for the price we paid. Will definitely book again "
"Stayed here in July 25 with my 74 year old mum and two 14 year old girls. Perfect location and amenities. Girls had their own room and bathroom as did we. Well located for getting around etc. very clean and comfortable "
"The site is on the outskirts of Fuengirola by the castle so a bit of a walk. The site is really clean and quiet. The food and service at Gastro Suel was excellent. There is free parking on site and a petrol garage next door with a mini supermarket. We stayed in the adult only area which has a lovely plunge pool. The one-bed accommodation in that area is pretty compact but there are larger units available as well as the glamping style tents."

"Hotel is in a great location, I would say in the nicer end of the town.
We went for a deluxe room with side seating view. I would say it was worth paying the extra for as you get one of the higher floors (we were on the 8th floor). Even a back facing room though would have Mountain Views. I sleep with a low pillow so I particularly valued the pillow menu where you could pick whatever pillow type you prefer.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean at the hotel, the reception lounge sitting area was nice, as wee the outdoor lounging bar area and pool area. The breakfast buffet was good, I wouldn’t necessarily say great but was more than adequate. I would definitely use this hotel if I was in Fuengirola, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. "
