Welcome to Footprints in the Sand, a professionally designed and decorated Fripp Island home where guests return for the thoughtful extras and welcoming atmosphere. More than 70 guests have awarded the home 5-star reviews, and many describe it as feeling like home.

Across the street from the ocean, Footprints pairs ocean views in front with panoramic golf-course and wildlife views behind. Beach Access 1B is less than a two-minute walk away, with a convenient ramp rather than a long boardwalk—making it easy to bring strollers, walkers and beach gear, or head back to the house during the day. Pools are less than a five-minute golf cart ride away.

Your rental includes a high-quality electric golf cart, four adult cruiser bikes plus children’s bikes, beach chairs, a beach wagon, beach toys and beach towels—all at no extra charge. Explore the island by golf cart or enjoy its bike paths without packing all the equipment. These included extras represent over $1,200 in savings.
Hotel-quality linens and towels, bath toiletries, hair dryers in each bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen help you settle in quickly. Stays of seven nights or longer also include two weekly amenity cards, delivered before arrival at no extra charge. Additional cards can be purchased through the owner.

Designed by the owner with the details often missing from vacation rentals, Footprints offers ocean views from every room and access to private balconies or spacious Southern porches. The open main floor connects the kitchen, dining area and family room so everyone can enjoy time together. A half bath sits off the foyer, and the main-floor primary suite offers Posturepedic bedding, high-quality sheets, a flat-screen TV, a walk-in closet and a spacious ensuite bath with ocean views and a walk-in shower. The main floor and primary bath are described as ADA accessible.
The family room features 30-foot ceilings, two-story bay windows and a 56-inch flat-screen TV, with views of Ocean Point Golf Course, the lagoon and local wildlife. An adjoining private lot has become a bird sanctuary, adding another attraction for bird watchers.

Throughout the home, beach-inspired décor, hotel-quality flooring and quartz surfaces create a comfortable coastal setting.
Cooking for a group is easy with generous counter space, stainless steel double ovens, a French-door refrigerator, a dedicated ice machine and an extra-tall mini refrigerator for overflow groceries. Grill on the Weber and dine on the back deck overlooking the eighth fairway and wildlife. One outdoor table seats six to eight, with another seating four.

FIVE BEDROOMS WITH FLEXIBLE SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

• Main-floor primary suite: Posturepedic bedding, a spacious ensuite bath and convenient main-floor access.
• Two ocean-facing upstairs bedrooms: Each has a queen bed; one also has a twin bed. Both open onto the upper front deck for Atlantic views and sunrise. Each room has its own vanity and toilet, with a shared Jack and Jill shower.
• Two golf-course-facing upstairs bedrooms: Each has two twin beds that can be converted to a king bed on request. Each room has its own vanity and toilet, with a shared Jack and Jill shower, plus a private balcony for ocean views and sunsets.
• All four upstairs bedrooms have flat-screen TVs, and all bedrooms have USB ports. A twin air mattress and a pack n’ play are also available.

MAKE THE MOST OF ISLAND TIME

Enjoy quiet moments on the porches and balconies, or head to the game room for foosball, a TV/DVD setup with gaming-console hookups and a large chalkboard wall. The yard offers space for croquet, badminton or volleyball, while the circular driveway provides room for biking and rollerblading. Need to check in with work? Secure Wi-Fi and a dedicated desk in the upstairs loft let you work with a view.
The fitness center is open, and the resort has announced plans for miniature golf at center island. Footprints has been included in Fripp Island Resort’s Tour of Homes, and the owner is proud of the home’s VRBO Premier Partner recognition. Fripp Island was also named among Southern Living Magazine’s top 10 picks for the “Most Amazing Island Getaway in the U.S.” Author Cassandra King and her “Same Sweet Girls” group have stayed at the home several times and enjoyed their visits.

Summer rentals run Saturday to Saturday. Outside the summer season, Saturday-to-Saturday or Sunday-to-Sunday stays are available. Two weekly amenity cards are included with stays of seven nights or longer. Fripp Island Resort’s mandatory 12.8% fee applies to the base rental rate only and is charged for all rental properties on the island.
