"This hotel was so quaint and beautiful. I had the best sleep of my vacation here, as the bed was so comfortable. Great area, where you can easily walk to the water and take in the fjords. We took a bus from Flam for 100 NOK each. Would highly recommended staying here. Excellent breakfast too. We also took a taxi up to the stegastein view point for $1,500 NOK from this hotel. Well worth it to not have to take in the view with a large group on a tour bus. "

"We loved our stay! We had a beautiful view of the fjord and loved the village of Undredal. The house was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was wonderful and we enjoyed renting kayaks and paddling along the fjord. The grocery store had what we needed but be aware that they close at 5:00 and aren’t open on Sundays. There isn’t an outlet in the bathroom that we could find so we had to dry our hair in the hall where there wasn’t much light, but we made it work. Loved having a washer and dryer. The only problem we had was the road to the house is very narrow and it was blocked 3 different times by this farmer and his equipment and vehicle. I thought we were plenty patient waiting for him to get out of the way, but one time I had to toot the horn because he was no where in sight and boy was he mad!! We stayed 5 nights and took day trips from this location. It was perfect."

"If you go to this area is for Fjord tour, instead stay in the expensive town Flam, I would suggest you saty here in this town Gudvangen and in this much less expensive hotel. because the cruise tour of Fjord is anyway between the above 2 towns, you can get on from either one. "

"Spacious a d clean twin room. Good location with great lawn area seating on the side of a calm fjord bay, with dramatic mountains on both sides. Nearby town has lovely old buildings and nice cafe at the arts centre. Dinner buffet was expensive but very well stocked with various foods, and breakfast also plentiful"
