There was an error in the room info displayed online that made it seem 4 people could stay in one room here. This wouldn't have been a big deal if the front owner wasnt so rude and dishonest. The max # of guests was actually 2 and we did not prepare for this, so upon our arrival he apparently spied on us entering our room (creepy but acceptable) and then proceeded to tell us that we had to pay for a whole second room. This is ridiculous because we could have gone to a different hotel that was MUCH nicer which I know with certainty allowed up to 4 guests in one room for the same amount. And we weren't even staying there for that long, we spent at most 3 hours in the room. We'd just gotten there from a convention and were leaving at the crack of dawn.
So after arguing with us for about 15 minutes, he suddenly changes his tune and says that the hotel policy has a $20 up charge for having 4 guests instead of 2. This amount is VERY different from the amount he was trying to charge us for a second room, so we agree to pay this just because we're tired and he refuses to give us our money back for the night so that we could find a different hotel. But before paying him the extra $20, I ask why he didn't simply say that from the beginning instead of trying to squeeze a whole other room fare from us, and he gave some unintelligible excuses in his broken English and walked away. Later I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me, only telling me his initials, "B.R."
