Doing this, you need to move furniture around, and you do not have any privacy as the only room with a door is a single bedroom, and the rest is open concept. The host was very receptive to all of our questions/requests and I felt that our comfort was very important to him. "Cute apartment in Jersey City that maximized space. Worked well for us as it gave our adult kids their own space at the end of busy days in NYC. It is a relatively quick easy walk to PATH train into the city. Had a cute little eat in kitchen area and sofa seating area with tv. Building and neighborhood are older and it shows, but as long as you expect that going in, you should be able to enjoy your stay and appreciate the more economical option .
