"The stay was terrific. We had a great time watching the loch in action from our room. Modern furnishings and great service. They have everything set up so well. It was a favourite stay on our highland travels."

Area was nice to explore. W/ the locks, the lake, and the highland club nearby, there was a lot to see and do before heading out on the rest of our trip. A lot of places close early or open late but quite a few shops are located right on the canal.

Excellent
Lots of restaurants & cafes. I would recommend booking ahead & our favourite by far was the Boathouse restaurant, with lovely views over Loch Ness.

Good
A few of the eateries were closed out of season but still a reasonable offer. Some places a bit pricey though.
"Unmanned - you get code to the lockbox to access the lodges via email on the day.
Nice enough place to stay for a couple of nights. Basic facilities but no complaints.
Place was clean with plenty fresh towels.
Curtains let through quite a bit of light which was the only downside.
Would recommend"
" Perfect location! Not all rooms have access to the advertised terrasse, perhaps that could be made a bit more clear. I assumed it is a shared facility when I booked this place."
