"We chose the Gunn House for our Yosemite trip because we wanted an authentic Gold Rush experience. Despite the mixed reviews, we decided to stay at this historic 1850 inn. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. We stayed in Room 14, advertised as having a queen bed, but it actually had a full-size bed. The room was very small, the window A/C was outdated and awkwardly installed, the shower barely drained, the toilet paper holder had been poorly glued back on, and the towel bar kept falling...

"After driving 12 hrs and exhausted we finally arrived to checking to our room that we booked a week ahead. Only to find out they only check in guest from 3 to 6 pm , this was not made clear on the booking site ! This is a hotel . My children and I had no where to sleep in the dead of night with no cell phone signal in the middle of nowhere at 11 at night . After no success in reaching the hotel staff we needed up driving a Treacherous Road almost hit six deer but finally found a town two hours...

"Surrounding area, parking lot were littered w trash. Breakfast were marginally healthy w a basket of grocery store bought products: packaged muffins, bottled juice (apple +), sugary cereals, etc. it was helped by including milk, oranges, apples, bananas, and 2 boiled eggs (overcooked w green rings) for the 3 mornings."

"Super cool little motel. About a 1/4 walk from the downtown."

"Stayed in a room 314 next to the road. It was very loud starting at 5am motorcycles, buses, trucks all traveling down the same road to work. It t was also very bright. There was no blow dryer or shampoo, the water temperature was very touchy. Bed was comfortable and it was a convenient spot in town and not go explore the mountain forties near by. I would not stay longer than a night."

"Location is great. Staff is very friendly and informative. The TV system sucked. The bed make these squeaking noises whenever you got up so irritating for the other person. And unfortunately, I guess the person next door to our room didn't think it would bother anyone when he started his truck up at five or so in the morning right outside our room and let it idle for about 10 minutes before leaving. Obviously not the fault of the Hotel, just an inconsiderate dunce."
