"This house was perfect for my husband and me. We loved viewing Lake Lure everywhere in the house! Our hostess was very helpful in answering questions and showing us certain things in the house to make our stay perfect.Highly rated this house as we would be happy to stay here again!The price was good per night until VRBO adds the cleaning fee, the taxes and their price to the overall cost."

"The drive up the hill to the house is very curvy and a bit unnerving. The house itself is good-sized with plenty of places to sleep. We appreciated the laundry room, plentiful linens and towels, and lots of cleaning supplies. Plus - coffee! The AC and heat worked fine. We did not use the fireplace."

"We loved the location of this property, private feeling and with trees all around. The smells and sounds of summer and nature were very relaxing. We loved the outdoor space and the windows which afforded a lovely view no matter where you looked. It was a like a tree house get away. There are stairs to get to the front door and stairs to get down to the 2nd bathroom and beds on the “basement” level. The downstairs can only be accessed from the outside and is completely separate from the main space. It was so conveniently located to the lake for boat rentals and a market just down the road. 5 minute drive to Chimney Rock’s little Main Street. An hour to Asheville for a day trip. We would stay here again but there were a lot of spiders and webs (you are in nature, in a forested location) so you must sweep them away every time you go out on the deck especially if you have little ones or pets visiting. While we were there the hot tub was broken and the upstairs shower was not working but our host was so kind to refund us for the inconvenience and was very easy to communicate with. It’s a quaint, quirky older property but it has a very relaxing and comfortable air about it. The beds were comfortable and it was a safe, quiet place to stay."

"We and our adult children and their spouses spent several days enjoying this beautiful home and its surroundings. The lake house was well stocked with anything we needed. All necessary equipment was provided for kayak or canoe trips. The basement game room provided many options for fun! Parking was adequate for several vehicles. We will definitely look into staying again if we visit Lake Lure in the future."
