"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"Nice rustic experience with all the modern conveniences. The village and everyone in it were super pleasant and welcomed us in with open arms. The house (old olive mill) was very impressive and has many balconies and decks to sit and relax. I recommend if you want to stay out of the hustle of the city have a quiet time then this is the place."

"We wanted to experience Crete's culture. You really cannot do that when you stay in a hotel with 500 or your favorite friends!! This Villa is located about 30 minutes from Rethymno. Nestled in the foothills surrounded by olive orchards at about 1100 feet above sea level. We were there for 18 days. We discovered a Taverna (Mina's) in Garazo about 15 minutes away. "We have stayed at the Sea- esta beach 3 times and it never changes .It is spacious and the veranda is big and well equipped for outside dining. The beds are very comfortable with good quality pillows and bedding. The beach is on your doorstep the restaurants are friendly and typical Cretan but what makes it so special are the people they go above and beyond to make your holiday special. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in Heraklion sind fußläufig zu erreichen und selbst Knossos ist nur etwa 8-10 km entfernt. Weiter Ziele z. B. im Süden, Westen, Südwesten sind nur mit Mietwagen zu erreichen bzw. man holt vorher Erkundigungen ein zum ausgebauten Bus-Linienverkehr.
