Lovely place with a “royal” style…carpets, chandeliers etc. …unique and comfortable. Staff were great, and pool was excellent with a very relaxed vibe. Gardens were beautiful and well taken care of. Would stay again!

The hotel was just what we needed for our short break. From our first welcome by reception after a long day travelling until we finally checked out. Everything was perfect. The staff couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious. Thank you all so very much.

This is a beautiful heritage property with comfortable and elegant rooms. The staff are so amazing and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely and the pool was a real highlight, especially during the hot days. The location is central and it is quick to get around. We had a wonderful time and I would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful stay! The pool was amazing in light of the heat! Our “ family room” was large and accommodated our 4 person family (2 adults and 2 kids) very well. Would come back again.

Great sized rooms. Beautiful pool. Helpful staff. Only issue is the multiple heavy keys needed to get into the apartment. The locks were also old so got stuck a few times.

Amazing hotel! Super central location, walking distance to everything. Amazing to have a pool to lounge at. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had a variety of options. I had the single room which was small but perfect for one person.

This hotel is in a convenient location to get to the Duomo and restaurants. Some locations are a bit more of a walk (Oltrarno), but manageable for us. The staff were responsive, especially when we had issues with the air conditioner not working. The hotel has a pool, and that was a welcome relief after spending the day walking around in the heat. It was also nice to leave the key at the desk each time we left, instead of having to carry it around as well. We did enjoy the breakfast a few times, and there is a laundromat and market nearby if needed.

I did not want to leave! The location was perfect, the room was amazing with a balcony that I spent lots of time on. There is a gorgeous courtyard and the pool was lovely. A quiet area of Florence as well. The staff were all kind and helpful. 10/10!

Stayed in the Junior Suite for four nights as a celebration for a special event. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! Spotlessly clean hotel with gorgeous period details. The bathroom was very small and although clean and functional, was a mild disappointment with the luxury of the room. Staff were helpful and friendly and non-intrusive, and the pool was a beautiful space to cool off after a morning of sightseeing in the heat. Lovely gardens. Great location, easily walkable to Old Town in 10 mins. Handy supermarket next door. It was a surprise that we were initially charged for the water in the mini-bar as no signage seen of the cost and staying in a suite I had not expected this, but this was waivered when I queried it. Breakfast was fresh and varied. Overall we had an incredible stay and will return!

The quiet, green, and serene courtyard is the absolute best place to be after the busy day. I had moved hotels after spending the weekend away from Florence, and ended up returning to the Villa Royal after one night at the other hotel. An absolute paradise with a beautiful pool area and onsite parking, which I think is pretty rare.
