"Excluding the non functional ac in my room it was a very pleasant stay with incredible views of the minster very safe for solo travellers and for people who like nights out its round the corner from the iconic flares nightclub for people who like peace and quiet it is also really well suited the rooms have excellent sound insulation hardly any noise"

"The best part of the hotel was the outside,and the entrance hall and staircase.Unfortunately the rest of the hotel was very down market. The whole place needs a refurbishment ! Our room was disgusting in the bathroom there was glue ? ( not sure what is was ) on the bottom of two rows of tiles dirt stuck to it .chopped paint every where needed painting . You couldn’t see out of the windows due to bird poo ! The ceiling over the bath leaked brown water .when I reported it I was told mantainace...

"Fun vibe. Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent with many options, food was fresh and delicious. Room was typical and clean. No turndown service between the two days we were there which was a bit of a surprise. Not necessary but would have been appreciated. Would stay here again."

My daughter is at York University so we have been frequent visitors and generally stay here. It felt therefore like a reward for our frequent visits which made me feel like a valued guest!"
