"A real gem of a hotel. Lovely spacious rooms off the beating track but so easy to walk to key venues, catch tram and train or taxi called for by wonderful reception. Staff so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend a stay if visiting Rio…. I don’t think I would have been as adventurous if staying in the busy parts of town "

"I strongly recommend this small boutique hotel. The strongest points are by far the Hospitality. Dacia is so lovely and friendly. She really cares about our needs. It’s very quiet and restful. Her son played piano a few times. Her mother prepares stunning breakfasts, different everyday. I stayed in the room with private balcone and an amazing view. Santa Teresa is a lovely neighborhood with great restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel. The area also feels safe! "

"Lot's of food stores near buy. Location is amazing, old Rio de Janeiro, birth place of samba music, every night music alive in the bar and restaurants. Kitchen has the minimum basic stuff. No need to cook, good food every where!"
