"Duncan Bannatyne need to invest some of his wealth into this place, its old and tired. Stayed a few times just due to connivence of location. Rooms especially bathrooms need updating. Bedrooms are cold in winter and red hot summer. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Breakfast not too bad, they try and offer to upsell for an extra £10 for anything not on buffet (except they don't charge if you ask them to make poached eggs) having a free carpark helps, although it is small. One quirk they don't clean your room unless you request it doing - one to remember if staying a few nights."

"From check in to check out the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. In fact, from when you pull into the car park you get the feeling it’s a special place. The building is a beautifully well maintained old building with some rather stunning modern extras. The room we had was spacious and beautifully presented, with a very comfy bed! Spacious bathroom with walk in shower. The bar area, lounge areas, breakfast and dinner room were clean, tidy, and again had that old style feel but with modern features. But the garden was amazingly well kept and that view!! All worth it just for that!! The food was stunning too both breakfast and dinner were perfectly cooked and presented. But by far the shining star of this hotel is the staff and service you receive, faultless."
