"We are both professors and visited Salisbury in January 2026. "If you’re looking for a lovely spot in the heart of the New Forest, this is definitely one to try. Although it’s located on the A36, once you’re inside the property the road noise disappears completely. We stayed in the Nomansland Suite, which was perfect for our four-day stay. It included a comfortable double bed, bathroom, fridge, and kettle, and the room was cleaned daily. The host who greeted us was very friendly and suggested lots of great things to do nearby, which was really helpful....

"We had a wonderful stay with our little one. All the staff were really friendly and very accommodating. It's a lovely place that is undergoing refurbishment and you can see this in places with some areas looking a bit tired. However we slept so well and had an excellent meal in the evening with massive portions and also a brilliant breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay again if in the area, thank you."
