"If you are going to Suncorp Stadium or a Caxton Street venue like Lefty's Music Hall, this is the ideal place to stay. Arrive early to ensure limited hotel parking because the only other option is The Barracks which is very expensive. There are two sets of lifts in the carpark - one goes to the function area and the other to hotel reception, so make sure you read the signs.
We checked in a little early and I agreed to stay in an accessible room as our room wasn't ready. Good air-con, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and a cute little balcony. There are minimal staff who are very professional and efficient, but not particularly friendly.
I had two concerns. Firstly, for an able-bodied person, the tiles in the accessible shower are VERY slippery. The shower is only surrounded by a curtain so the water spreads a fair way. We put down lots of towels to avoid an accident. I don't know how someone with a moonboot or other disability would cope. My second concern was that the decorative stones next to the balcony had cigarette butts and bottle caps which takes away some of the ambience.
There was also only one lift working, but that didn't affect us at all.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and we slept in because of the excellent blackout curtains. Some sites market this hotel as five star, but it is really four star. As long as you are prepared for that, this is a good, well-priced hotel.
