"Booked to stay as we were attending the wedding of our nephew. Early wedding so had to leave our bags in the car until after 2pm check-in. Not really a problem but would have been nice to hang my extra clothes earlier. Staff polite and helpful. Room OK but no aircon so quite warm. There was a desk fan in the room so that helped. Breakfast was good with a variety of continental and cooked breakfast. Refreshed regularly"

"This Mercure is one of the best. Usually come here 2/3 times a year and every time the staff are so welcoming and kind. Privilege rooms are fantastic and worth the extra coin. Gym and Spa facilities are excellent and from my experience not over crowded. "

"Overall I'm very happy with my stay. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff are excellent and even printed out some historic information for my son who is studying the Victorian era in school. "
