"I could hear the neighbor through the adjoining room. One pillow case was on the pillow inside out and I had one coffee cup and 3 lids. Just a little odd. Housekeeping must have some new staff."

"This was the perfect place to stay for my visit to PA! The photos didn’t prepare me for how nice the apartment is. Everything I needed was there, and the location was ideal, both because it was close to downtown and my local relatives, and because the setting is gorgeous. The Porthole is a daylight basement apartment, and the house the apartment is in is right on the water, with a park in the strip of land between the front yard of the house and the Sound. I was there during some cold weather, and had things to do that prevented me from spending much time there, but we did have a very clear day one of the days of my stay, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend the Porthole to anyone visiting Port Angeles. "

"The craftsmanship and amenities top notch. The location to the shops and restaurants was an easy walk. If your a hiker Marymere Falls and the Storm King Trail are a must. Enjoy your stay in this very comfortable house."

"The front desk staff was lovely, this is not against them. The room itself was really grungy and old. There were spider webs outside the door that hadnt been cleaned in months, full of dead bugs. The room itself was clean enough, but had a really old smell to it and is in desperate need for a reboot. The chair next to the bed was awfully stained, and our bed sheets had what looked like a dead bug on it. Good enough for one night, but I think you can find better for the price. "
