"Excellent service when I needed to alert the hotel that we would be late in checking in.
The reception staff was waiting for us when we arrived slightly later than originally mentioned.
The check-in process was completed quickly and we were in our rooms soon after."
"Delightful linens, food, ales, garden... and the staff are wonderful. A hidden gem that is a beautiful getaway easily accessible by car or railroad - or indeed on the Kennet by boat!"
"A lovely country house hotel. Our room was very spacious with an outside patio where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine. The bathroom was large with a bath and a shower. We ate in the “Tasting Room” and very much enjoyed the tasting menu. The area outside the hotel has pleasant area with tables and chairs which we enjoyed as it was a warm sunny day. The hotel is quite expensive, but we thought it worth the money. The spa was OK, small and a little tired but we enjoyed our swim in the pool....
"We liked to stay there over the weekend.
They have a beautiful garden overlooking the river, that was the best part!
Room size was good and the bed and pillows comfortable."
"This inn is old and rooms, while clean, comfortable, and very serviceable, are tired and could use some updating. The staff was very helpful with luggage, etc. I’ll certainly visit again."
"Great room, with lots of extras - mini fridge with fresh milk and cold water, coffee maker, good selection of teas/coffees/biscuits, Dyson fan, lovely toiletries. Comfortable bed.
Friendly helpful staff with great restaurant downstairs with GF options, large car park. Would definitely stay again."

Historical market village, with some old buildi ngs and a couple of nice restuarants and bars. Quiet but not sleepy.

We went to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park for one of the days which is easily accessible from Faringdon. Another day we went to Bourton on the Water. Both of these places rank in our top 5 places to go.
"Love this hotel been coming for a few years. Great base to explore from. Lovely walks and wildlife whilst watching golfers. Neighbours always considerate. Staff go above and beyond. "
"A lovely place in a lovely setting. Checking in was very quick with staff being attentive, pleasant and professional. The only niggle was…The weather was very warm and when we first arrived in the room all windows were closed. It heat in the room was unbearable. There was a floor standing fan which we put on straight away. There was also no fridge in the room. I appreciate that other upgrade rooms had a fridge, but I thought nowadays all hotels had at least a fridge for water and other drinks. A small thing that could be sorted as there was more than enough space in the room to put one. It doesn’t take away the experience we had in staying at this hotel and would return."
