We used Fairly as a base to Lake Tekapo which is a 30 minute drive from Fairlie. The Pinewood is a short drive or 5 minute walk into town on the Tekapo road so was convenient. While accommodation is slightly dated, it is clean, well presented and was value for money. Our room had a relatively new split system air conditioner which provided good space heating. Staff were very good. The bathroom/toilet was clean and more spacious that I was expecting. On site parking is at the front door to each unit. We were pleased with our stay and would do so again if visiting the area.

After booking got an email that we had to check in before 8 pm but we couldn’t message them through Expedia (and they didn’t give us the email to message through). Some road noise, so light sleepers should have ear plugs. Also additional cost is significant if you leave late or if you don’t wash and dry cups/plates, fyi.
