"What a lovely hotel. From booking in to service in the bar and restaurant the staff were professional yet friendly. The room was well appointed. Little touches like a small bottle of real milk (not sachets) and the moulton brown toiletries made it extra special. Would recommend without hesitation. "

"Hotel and facilities excellent, room spacious with comfortable big bed, air con that worked perfectly, great breakfast and helpful staff. Ideal, but due to works going on, my room was over a temporary generator that ‘fired’ up every 30 mins or so all night, workmen then started at 7:30 both mornings with the ever ending beeping of their forklift. "Maddingley Hall is a lovely place to stay given its history but especially its magnificent grounds. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities. There is a very nice bar with a good atmosphere. Food is OK but with a limited selection. The breakfast selection is good but don't get there too late otherwise the selection is limited. Staff were adequate but need some training to look after their guests better."

"Not quite an old hotel, but not modern either. Best things are the rooftop terrace view and location near several colleges and the Cam River. Six Restaurant also has a spectacular view on the 6th floor. Not much of a lobby, which presents an issue if you want to wait, but it is possible to use one of the restaurants or the terrace. "

"The property is very conveniently located to allow great access to all the Cambridge sights. The room was lovely and well-appointed with teas, coffee and even hot chocolate. The property is beautiful and allows for great walks in their green space. The staff were definitely helpful though sometimes with a slightly detached attitude. That is the only criticism I would have. "
