The surrounding landscape is gorgeous, especially the pool area and the various outside lounges near the main house. Having a car is a must to stay. The town of Evora is at a 12 to 15 minutes drive. It’s a midsize town full of history. Worth visiting with a guide."

Whilst the commitment to zero waste was commendable the concept of ordering dinner a day in advance was a little inconvenient and might cause guests to miss the excellent food in the restaurant. "Beautiful pastoral setting. Guest room was comfortable with great bed. Wonderful decor in the breakfast room upstairs, and the food was great. Hosts were very engaging, sharing info on the neighborhood and the Roman wine-making process, which is their award-winning specialty. Nearby winery restaurant Quinta da Quetzal was amazing!"

"Casa Soure is within the medieval Evora walls. You can walk to the major attractions within 5, 10 minutes. The property is a bit difficult to get to, especially if you're driving. You have to walk through the restaurant to get to the apartments. But once you're at the property, you'll find a spacious, clean apartment right in the center of town. It's really cute that they provide you with a breakfast basket in the morning with your choice of baked goods, protein, and beverages. "
