"We enjoyed a four night midweek stay at this beautiful property. The decor is truly stunning throughout the hotel , the restaurant excellent and staff attentive and helpful. The grounds are extensive and beautiful and the hotel is situated in a very rural area with plenty of interesting places to visit within easy driving distance. The dark night skies make for excellent star gazing!"
"Executive Rooms could do with a fridge, otherwise lovely . The windows couldn’t be opened and therefore felt a bit warmer than it should. The aircon was good but loud"

"When we booked the room through Expedia it said double or twin, we requested twin beds but on arrival were given a double bed room. This room is in the annex building and was very tired looking and the carpet very dirty. The bottom of the bed did not have a cover over the box spring.
The hotel was unable to accommodate us with twin beds so we had to upgrade to another room costing an extra 86 pounds. The staff was helpful in doing this .
This room was slightly better than the annex room but...
"The room was a decent size and very clean. We didn't actually end up staying the night because we stayed over at the house party, but we used the room to get ready and freshen up in the morning before checking out. The shared facilities, such as the bathroom and kitchen, were also clean and tidy."
"Communications before our stay were excellent. A very warm welcome awaited us us in a cold wet day. Check in was an easy process and everything was explained thoroughly.
A really interesting hotel in a very historic building. Room was spacious and clean with an enormous bed.
