"An opportunity to spend a night in a revamped farmhouse turned guesthouse. The Farmhouse lodge is situated about 15-20 minutes west of the town of Vik right off of the Ring Road and has two levels (the main and a walk out basement which is quite bright). Stayed in a single room with shared bathroom (which I think I had to myself) that was on the lower level facing south with a big bright window and beautiful view). "After reading the reviews I was a bit worried about staying here, but I needn't had worried. The staff were friendly and helpful, the accommodation was actually really nice. Better than I was expecting. It's not the Ritz so don't except 5 star cleanliness, but it was better than I thought, it was clean, cozy and warm. We stayed in a 2 bed comfort cabin with 6 of us and it was fine for what we needed. Love the theming as it made it more fun. "

"We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. We loved the Kelo cabin. Everything about this place made for a very relaxing vacation. We were very satisfied the dining each night. They had four main menus that rotated each day. Our favorite excursion was the dog sledding. We have enthusiastically recommended Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort to all of our friends and family."

"Nice peaceful place, helpful staff. The apartment could do with a bit more equipment in the kitchen, for example more cutlery & there were only 3 bowls in a 4 person apartment. Useful to have washing machine in the apartment. There are a few bikes you can borrow but they could do with a bit of TLC, suitable for a short ride to town."
