"There’s a lot I liked about staying here, it was clean, especially the bathrooms, it was centrally located but hard to find- located on a section of the street only accessible by buses, so taxis could not directly pick you up and this was not explained. My room was not quiet and could not be darkened enough to sleep, with the only window open to the elevator shaft and light strobing on the wall all night as people on 5 floors used it all night. The check in and communication was horrible and they did not arrive to let me in on time so wasted hours of my limited time in Barcelona. The keys and lock didn’t work well. But it was centrally located and reasonable in price- but not worth the poor communication and lousy sleep I got. "

"Great location with quiet, comfortable room. However, the room smelled of mothballs, and the water pressure in the bathroom sometimes (especially in the morning) was nonexistent, making it impossible to use the sink or shower. For a 4-star hotel, this is unacceptable. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very hospitable. The policy to not provide drinking water in the room on a daily basis also is not consistent with a 4-star property. "

"we had a terrible sewer smell in our 1st room floor. there was some gap opening that was not sealed on the floor under pull out couch that the sewer smell was coming from. it was so bad we went to local store and bought some plastic tape and taped the opening shut which solved the issue. before that it was making my kids sick from smell. the property should address this . other than that it was ok. they did make an effort to come and clean when i complained about the smell but they did not actually solve the issue. other than that the bed was comfortable and bathroom nice. the windows really did provide a lot of coverage on first floor though.. kind of felt like people could see in the bathroom from outside which was weird. the street was noisy although it was during semana santa so that was kind of expected. "
