Had to abandon the stay after finding bug infestation in room immediately upon entering. Luckily the staff was kind to acknowledge and refund.

We stayed here for a concert at Harrah’s. Nice easy drive back and forth. Walking distance to a local brewery next door and kewl eats around. Staff was excellent. Place was clean and they’re still upgrading and renovating the place. Will definitely be back whenever we are in Escondido or nearby for events. Awesome place if you’re a tourist to San Diego but don’t want to pay the premium prices in San Diego. The only drawback is no pool/hot tubs, but who cares about that October through April?!

Really good experience

It was very cold, there wasnt a heater, even with 4 blankets I was cold. But then again, im always cold! But it was a good stay. Front desk attendants were very helpful & very kind. Also theres not a lot of rooms, seriously peaceful & serene. Guests were mostly construction workers

The office staff was friendly, the area has vagrants living in some of the rooms, borh men and women, street people, there was a guy in the parking lot, teasing his pet pit bull with a stuffed animal, the animal showed his aggressive behavior in mauling that stuffed toy. As soon as I went in, a certain smell emitted into my nasal pasages, and it gave me an indication to expect cockroaches. Sure enough, on the 2nd day, I saw one in rhe bathroom also on day 2, room service forgot to clean my room, I complained, and the front desk told me that they normally only clean once every 3 days, and asked if I had put in a special request.

Nice yet temporarily under renovation

It was a nice place yet under renovation. The room itself was excellent yet the heat did not work and there was a “for California” cold front. The room 50 F at night Electric plugs are poorly laid out yet this is likely due to renovations. In a month this will be a great place so I consider this a temporary issue. That said parking and cleanliness was perfect .

One significant complaint and a few minor ones. There was no security latch (or chain) on the door. There was evidence that there was one in the past so why didn’t they replace it? Minor issues: the window had wooden shutters with a connecting rod to angle them shut all at once. That rod was broken on one of the windows, so I had to move each vane shut individually. The front door did not have an automatic door closer and it was difficult to shut the door without slamming it. The one chair in the room was so worn out that you wouldn’t want to sit on it. Parts of the top of the shower curtain were torn but that had no negative effect on my ability to shower. Now for the good things: the complementary breakfast was quite good. Boiled eggs, two kinds of cereal, a variety of yogurt, coffee, tea, instant oatmeal, orange juice, milk, and a variety of sweet pastries and fruit. No table to eat at unless you go outside. The hot water was nearly instant. The bed was quite comfortable. There is a mini fridge and microwave but I used neither. The TV is good sized and had a bunch of cable channels. One last negative: no clock in the room
