"We had a fabulous short stay here. The hotel is very close to Wengen station and we managed to walk up the hill with our (small) cases without too much bother. Check in was with the lovely Miriem (sorry if I've got that wrong!) who showed us around and gave us plenty of information about the hotel. The room was good (deluxe double with balcony), beds were comfortable with plenty of space. Bathroom was basic but clean. There were lovely little welcome touches, such as a personalised card and biscuits. There's a kettle (hoorah!) and a coffee machine. But the absolute best part was the incredible view, which actually brought us to tears as we were so overwhelmed. We were lucky enough to be in a corner room with two balconies so had morning coffee on one overlooking beautiful chalets and the valley and evening drinks on the other for sundown. We made use of the outdoor swimming pool (6 francs) which is just a few minutes walk away and we had a quick walk through the town which looked very lovely and lively. We'd planned to go for drinks and some live music but were too tired from our excursions to Interlaken so just enjoyed drinks on the hotel terrace instead. We popped to Lauterbrunnen to see the waterfalls as this is only a 10 minute train ride down the mountain. We were also lucky enough to meet the hotel's resident dog, Caramel, who came to give us a friendly welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend this hotel. We will be back!!"

"It’s an older property, but very well maintained and typical of a Swiss chalet in terms of rooms sizes and accommodations. The staff was very friendly as both the front desk and the restaurant. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection. The restaurant also had many options for food, homemade, and amazing views on the patio! "

"Funky hotel, but very nice with large common areas. Totally contact-less (keys are on a phone app), about 10 minute walk from train station. Most tourist sites are close. Our room was a little odd (upper floor with sloped ceilinds, bed in middle of room). The bed was comfortable, and it's one of the few places we found with air-conditioning (slow, but it eventually made the foom nice on a hot day. But there is a kitchen area and refrigerator available for guests, as well as a free washer and dryer! The breakfast was very good with a nice variety. "

Shuttle to/from train station on day of arrival/departure was convenient. Spiez is a wonderful little town. This is the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed at, and we WILL definitely stay here again! "

"Very nice quiet location it at the same time close to everything. The river view room was much smaller than we expected but excellent view. We even watched people jumping off the bridge. The self laundry facility was an added bonus. But the staff are not quite familiar with buses allowed on the guest card. We were kicked off 106 and told 102-104 are the only valid buses. Something to be verified before j make plans."
