"Stay Wednesday 8th April - Sunday 12th April. Rm 233. Bathroom basin tap very stiff to operate. Either full-on or trickle. Mentioned to Reception twice. Once on Thursday morning and again on Saturday morning. Nothing was done to fix it unfortunately. Cleanliness - I’m sure Housekeeping staff are doing their best but overflow outlet in basin mouldy and slimey. I cleaned it myself. Also all around underside of basin surround. Decor/fittings. Please could there be heated towel rail in bathroom. Bathroom cold and clinical. Would pay extra for this but as single guest I don’t need huge Privilege room. Big room doesn’t enhance my stay. Decor is dull, depressing, tired and shabby and doesn’t co-ordinate. Light fittings in bathroom are rusty. Lighting inadequate, makes room look dingey with the dark walls. Shaving mirror too high for doing make-up. Staff polite but shame that maintenance staff didn’t get to fix tap. I am a regular guest because I like the quiet grounds, and the on-site parking and it’s very near to where my daughter lives but not in city centre."

"This Leonardo is a very good one in terms of the brand. The executive rooms have a varied layout which is a nice element. The bed is very comfortable and you get a nice night's sleep mostly. My recent stay did have music blaring from outside beyond 1am on the Wednesday night but that's the first time I've encountered that in four visits to this hotel. The breakfast choice is in line with what you'd come to expect if you've stayed at any UK Leonardo before.That said, the quality can vary in them but the Sheffield version maintains a high standard every time. The hotel has a nice relaxed vibe in general and the staff are a huge part of creating that. The check-in each time always has a personal feel rather than any sense of it being routine. It sets the right tone and it's maintained throughout any stay."

"You get what you pay for but what there is was decent. Loses a mark for mould marks on shower ceiling but cannot fault rest of hotel. Breakfast very basic but what food there was hot and edible and the bar/restaurant area is lovely."

"The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We arrived at breakfast after 9am (10am finish) and the hot offering was a bit depleted but there was something of everything except eggs, which a member of staff cooked extra for us. We would definitely stay again."

"Rooms are well appointed and clean with comfortable, large beds. The quality of food at breakfast was good, but hotel was very busy and there were not enough staff on to keep the breakfast buffet replenished and clear tables, and seating was at a premium. A little chaotic. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment and so these issues may well resolve. There is a car park which is run privately and you have to pay for. It’s not really large enough for a hotel of that size."
