Wonderful, tastefully updated property. No detail has been overlooked. Host is very friendly, although a bit too much though. He was very kind, but some people just prefer to be left alone.

Absolutely fabulous, wonderful people and accommodation. If you are looking for a romantic getaway in beautiful surroundings this is the place! So near to Ely too for great restaurants and shopping

Excellent One night stopover whilst visiting for an event in the area , I arrived at 8 pm & ordered a very well kept local Ale , A Sirloin steak which was delicious washed down with an excellent merlot . The annexed accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with luxurious bedding , The ensuite bathroom was very well laid out with a huge shower that was excellent . Breakfast was delicious and was cooked by the charming owner.

Nice place to stay

We only had a one night stay while we took in a show in Ely. The staff were really happy and helpful. A small boutique establishment but steeped in history. Although there was maintenance work going on it didn't detract from a lovely experience, the whole building was still immaculately clean. Room was beautiful, I believe that all the rooms are individually styled and ours certainly had a little wow factor. It's also a great location to explore the beautiful city and all it has to offer. I have stayed before, both times in room 4. It's perfect for a solo traveler like myself. The quirk of this room is that it has a private bath, but it's across they hall, and keyed as the room is. I don't mind--I like quirks. Some might. The breakfast is lovely. Buffet style, though the server brings along tea or coffee, whatever you wish. It's also in a lovely location, right along the river. A view of the narrowboats. :D New since my last stay: AC!

Clean rooms, wifi worked well, and nice that they have air con.

Loved this place. Gorgeous little pub with large rooms in separate annex. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating, rooms were beautiful, clean and cosy and food (we had dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Highly recommend for anyone staying in or around Newmarket area.

Wonderful staff! Friendly and extremely helpful. The food at dinner was wonderful. I would encourage those staying here to eat here as well. The breakfast was extraordinary. Very nice stay. This was my daughters favorite stay the whole trip! And air conditioning!!!!

We loved our stay here! The countryside was beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was so comfortable and it was updated in a cool modern style. The parking was close and it was just a quaint, cool place! Didn't have enough time to eat there, but judging by the popularity, I'm sure it was good!

No AC but other than that it is a wonderful small hotel and very nice pub and restaurant attached. It was hot when we were there

We had a big party staying here for a family wedding nearby. I don’t usually do these reviews but the Elveden was just outstanding. The place is lovely with nice rooms and a great lounge, bar and restaurant, but it was the staff who made this special. Friendly, competent and endlessly helpful dealing with our group, including arranging two large dinners at short notice. Strongly recommended!

Nigel and his staff was extremely warm, friendly and has a real cosy atmosphere to the hotel. Perfect location in the city and plenty of parking. Me and my wife had a lovely time and the breakfast was amazing!! Will be returning and recommending to all!

Excellent modern property. Not real easy to get to reception area if you’re driving. A bit confusing when you pull up and it’s a busy corner to be confused.
