"The room was spot on for our needs. Efficient shower. Good size soft towels. Comfortable bed. We had a very good breakfast both days. That was all we had to eat at the hotel and the ladies who served us were lovely. The hotel is very well situated for the Cathedral, shops."

"We stayed at the Elveden Inn and all I can say is what a wonderful place this is. We were lucky enough to stay in the lodge away from the building and the room was very cozy, very well presented and clean, the bed was very comfy the only downside to the room is the bright green emergency lighting (I’ll remember my eye mask next time) The food sooo tasty, the Guinness Onion soup omg best soup I’ve ever tasted, the duck that I had for main again full of flavour and probably the best duck meal I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend the Elveden Inn for food and a place to stay staff couldn’t do enough for us. Very rare to find a hotel that has cozy rooms and tasty food"

"Lovely place to stay near Newmarket, I had booked it because it offered rooms with baths. I was travelling with work and knew I wanted an early night and a bath. Hotels.com listed the available room as having the option of a bath so i requested it. To be fair the hotel never confirmed the request and i forgot to follow up. When i arrived in the afternoon I was given a room with a shower only , I asked if it was possible to change but unfortunately it wasn’t. Everything else about the stay was perfect, a couple of minor maintenance issues in the bathroom (dirty grout and mirror light not working) but otherwise spotless, comfy bed, quiet and staff couldn’t have been nicer. Food was good. I was disappointed that it wasn’t possible to have a bath in the room and would have booked somewhere else if I had known in advance. Might be a good idea to modify the hotels.com listing."
