Had to bring our own awning to go over the hot tub, as it is out in the open. Not a bad thing to say about this rental, and if we do come back to the area, will definitely stay again."

"We have stayed at another VRBO of Heather’s in past years and Heather is always very accommodating. Our pups enjoyed running in the backyard while we enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. We would have preferred an access to the backyard from the inside of the house. To enter the backyard you have to walk around and enter the gate from the side yard. It makes late night potty breaks with the dogs very inconvenient. It would be a great improvement to put a door where the window is in the dining...

"The cottage is charmingly vintage but still quite comfortable. The hosts include thoughtful touches like spices, toiletries, fishing rods, laundry soap, etc., that aren't necessary certainly but that make for a welcoming stay. Donnell Lake is a quite busy little lake and wasn't our favorite for our quiet little paddleboards and sailboat, but we were also there over Labor Day, so it's probably not always quiet so busy. "My husband and I had a very relaxing time at this historical cabin. It was perfect for what we needed and we slept really good. There was an issue with the shower head and when letting them know, they were right on it and the issue was resolved. We will come back the next time we visit family. I would highly recommend this place to stay."
