What we saw of it, it was great. Found out they are closing maxfields restaurant it was our favorite place to eat. We still ate there but the salad bar potato bar and the ice cream machine were gone

"The hotel was very clean and neat. Rather Spartan, however, with no coffee pot in the room and no accessible electrical outlets to plug anything in. Wasn't fond of having to lug all our stuff up to the second floor because there was no elevator, however the staff was more than willing to help us ..."

"Clean, quiet, spacious property. Enjoyed the kayaks, loved the hot tub. Plenty of games for a rainy day, and water toys for when it is nice. Cabin was well stocked, clean,and the welcome basket a nice touch"

Not the robust town it was when I was young. Not dead but not the thriving bustle of activity either. Main Street Pizza & Phenix Restaurant ovver good dining. Daniel's Restaurant is a pay-what-you-can restaurant that has VERY good food, although.
