"Breakfast paid for as part of my Hotels.com booking staying at Holiday Inn Bristol but Holiday Inn claimed that breakfast was not included as far as they were concerned so refused this on the morning of checking out. This was a business trip so didn't have time to argue on the day as we needed to get on on and out. Phoned Hotels.com later to query and they claimed it was an admin issue within Holiday Inn. All in all, annoying and frustrating and no apologies. "

"Shame really, the staff were super friendly and helpful, but the building and facilities are tired and in sore need of updating. The room was clean but the bed uncomfortable and springy, pillows were flat. It would be really good value for money if you got a good night's sleep, but sadly the matress was not co-operating. We will be visiting Barry often on family matters, and would love to have found a nice place to stopover, but uncomfortable beds aren't worth it. Sadly we'll not be staying again. "

"The room spelt strongly of mould and damp. The show cubicle leaked water all over the floor. The bar was closed at 10:30 when we tried to use it rather than 11:30pm as advertised and no apology was offered room service with a tray charge of £5. The bed was comfortable."
