Part of a collection of 3 boats - The Four Sisters Boatel is a unique experience for the discerning traveler that the kids will also enjoy. A first for Scotland, The Four Sisters is located in the very heart of Edinburgh city center, tucked away in the peaceful Lochrin Basin on The Union Canal alongside some of Edinburgh’s top restaurants and bars. The Four Sisters Boatel is purpose built, permanently moored static wide beam houseboat so don’t worry if you haven’t got your sea legs, there are no currents or tides, sea / canal sickness is not an issue. She is 60 feet by 11 feet with 6 feet 4 inch in headroom, she can sleep up to 6 adults and 2 children under 10 years. The Four Sisters Boatel has been awarded by Visit Scotland a 4 star luxury classification and grading.

Located in the very heart of Edinburgh City Centre and a first for Scotland, The Four Sisters Boatel is within walking distance of the delights Edinburgh has to offer only 10 - 15 minutes to the Grassmarket, The Royal Mile and The West End. The Four Sisters Boatel is the ideal base for your stay.

The accommodation comprises of 2 stylish double cabins, a set of children's bunk beds recessed in the hallway and a double sofa bed in the lounge for extra guests. There is also a modern fully equipped galley kitchen with all mod conveniences expected with a spacious lounge area. On board you will also have access to a private mooring and two outdoor deck areas perfect for relaxing. All guests also have access to on land facilities that include clothes washing facilities (at an extra cost) as well as shower and toilet facilities.

Although we try to make our boats as close to being like you are in an on land property there are some things that work slightly different to usual. As we live so close with nature we try to take care of our environment and cause as little impact as possible to the local ecosystem and therefore we are also an eco friendly business. You will find our water and waste systems work in a slightly different way as well as our heating and power sources. This will not impact your stay but is worth baring in mind that there may be an extra switch or button to press!

Space on board s limited and at maximum capacity the boat may feel a little cramped. We therefore recommend bringing soft foldable luggage.

We do not provide any parking but can recommend local parking facilities nearby.

Boat is fully equipped with everything you need, perfect location for exploring the city. Plenty bars, restaurants and cafes around. Will definately stay there again.

This was a great stay! Natalie was helpful and accommodated our early arrival. She is young and can give you great recommendations to eat and drink. The hot water can be tricky and doesn't last very long, if this is a huge problem to you don't stay. But if you're like us, we didn't let it bother us. I was traveling with my mom and brother and there was plenty of room for us. The canal can get a little loud with party people but only noticed this on the weekends. I would stay here again and recommend it for a once in a lifetime vacation stay!

The floating Boatel was delightful! We were a family of 1 adult couple, 1 senior couple and on six year old. The bunk beds are great for kids. The Boatel is equipped with everything you need. Excellent location for exploring Edinburgh. Located within a block of multiple restaurants and grocery store. Natalie was amazing and available to answer all your needs.
