"We had the most amazing trip. The fishing was great. Went swimming. Made campfires went to the Antler Store for ice cream. The lake is beautiful. The cabin is beautiful with plenty of room for our family of four and dog. Plenty of area for the dog to run around and play and swim. We can’t say enough good things about Rachel she was so helpful and quick to respond to the many questions we had. The Refuge at North Padre is an awesome place and we can’t wait to come back next summer. Just a wonderful place. "

"The cabin was adorable. Right next to the lake with all sorts of things to do like kayaks, floaty devices, and paddle boat. They had a little store that had DVDs you could borrow and games to play. We even had three deer walk right by our cabin. Kristen and Josh were absolutely phenomenal host. One night the electricity went out. So we decided to go to get something to eat in the pouring rain and super dark out, ended up putting our truck in the ditch and couldn't get it out a nice couple gave us a ride back to the cabin. The next morning I told Kristen what hapened and Josh came over and helped my husband get his truck back. We tried to give money for gas and he wouldn't take it. Absolutely wonderful people who go above and beyond. Would definitely recommend staying here or any of their resorts!!"

"We had a fantastic stay at this cabin! When we arrived for 4th of July weekend we were expecting a busy, loud and boistrous lake. We incredibly surprised to learn how quiet and relaxing it is! Not busy at all for the 4th. The neighbors nearby are friendly but keep to themselves. The outdoor games and activities provided were a huge a bonus so we didnt have to haul ours. Also, the dog kennel outside was perfect!! Thanks to this stay, the hubby and I are talking about getting a cabin sooo if you're questioning whether or not to book it....just book it! You're welcome :) "
