Due to an imminent Air Canada flight attendant strike in Canada, we were unable to use our original non-refundable hotel reservation date at Novotel and had to rebook with new dates, in effect having to pay twice. I contacted my original booking agent, Hotel.ca, numerous times not to get a refund, because we knew it was not possible, but rather a modification of our dates given the extenuating circumstances but there was no relief. Upon our arrival at Novotel, I spoke with Marissa who immediately helped us. She contacted the booking agent directly to facilitate the modification of dates on her end and approve the special waiver.
