"The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a reasonable size plus a table and 2 chairs. It was very clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfy. The temperature in the room was ideal. Breakfast was reasonably priced with a buffet style menu."

"It’s a lovely hotel. Great setting. Staff are good. The only disappointment is that if you are on bed and breakfast basis you have to pay £25 per person daily to use the pool. This extra charge for the spa is understandable but the pool is surely part of the general facilities of the hotel."

5* Detached Stone Cottage with a Private Indoor Pool (Not Shared)

"A fantastic stay! A lovely cottage with everything you need, set in a lovely location. The owners were very helpful and friendly. There is a fully equipped kitchen with nearly everything you need for self-catering, just missing a pizza cutter. A dishwasher and washer/dryer are also provided. The swimming pool is an amazing asset to the property, it is not attached to the cottage so you do need to go outside but only about 20 feet. There is a shower and toilet in the pool house. Overall, this is a lovely cottage for a relaxing time in the Peak District."
