"My family (me, my wife, and two children aged 17 and 14) stayed at this charming seaside house between Christmas and New Year's and had a wonderful time. We have always loved visiting Bailey's Island but have never stayed over night. The island is a perfect getaway during the Holidays for some r&r with your loved ones. The house had all of the modern comforts while providing our family ample room during our stay. The host was gracious and a very good communicator. We hope to stay at this property next year!"

"We were sold on the Dog Friendliness of this property but we will be coming back for the views. This is literally a slice of heaven. We stayed with our two labs and our 3 year old son and everyone had a blast. The house is beautifully renovated to fit the modern lifestyle with the quaint beach house theme. The dogs were able to run free on the beach front and roll in the tall grass. The lack of television was the best pet of the trip. Games, books, music and conversation fill the space and allow you spend time with the ones you love. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking to visit Maine."

"I'm glad there wasn't a picture of the path down to the place on the VRBO page. I would have rejected it, because I have a permanent form of vertigo. BUT, then we would have missed out on one of the best places we've ever stayed in Maine. The other 78 yr old helped me up and down the path every day. "On the Rocks" is and adorable cottage, just made for two. The minute we saw the porthole door, we were hooked. With its horizontal, varnished knotty pine walls and wide plank flooring, it was perfect. We really wished there had been a printed history of the place from interior to exterior landscaping. Who built it? When was it built? Who was Albert E Johnson, and why is that marker here? There aren't enough good things to say about the cabin. Plus...we felt like we were on the Basin Cove of "Fundy". What a delight to watch and listen as the tides go in and out. As we arrived, we knew it would be special when a bevy of Flickers greeted us. There are so many wonderful water fowl to watch and enjoy: great blue herons, kingfishers, and two osprey and an eagle even appeared from time to time. The ducks, gulls and cormorants would sail the rapids with the tides. We're so glad we had two weeks to enjoy "On the Rocks"."

"We loved everything about this cozy house, from the incredible view to the well appointed kitchen. The location was perfect-convenient to the general store, nature walks, and still only a short ride into Brunswick’s commercial district. We appreciated the thoughtful additions like a stocked spice cabinet and gift bag! With only one bathroom it’s best suited for a couple or perhaps a small family. We can’t wait to come back!"
