"We stayed at the St Nicholas, for a gig at the Castle, which is part of the George over the road where reception, bar, restaurant etc are. Location couldn’t be better.
Room was fairly standard, but very clean. A bit noisy as fronted onto the High St but didn’t interrupt our sleep.
The George is an old coaching inn and a beautiful building.
The staff were all extremely friendly, the bar we used at the end of our night out was full of character and the breakfast served the next morning was excellent."
"Room was nice, bathroom was a bit rundown as bath wouldn't empty and drains ended up blocking. The bath had slightly come away from the wall where it met the tiles.
All in all though hotel was.pretty nice"
"We stayed for one night as a family of three. The staff were so nice from arrival to departure. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful and it was a happy and relaxed environment. We also found that the member of staff who greeted you when you were swimming was also a really happy, friendly man - these all made such an impact on our stay. I guess the only thing which would have made our stay better would have been a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cool - but the air conditioning was a dream! We would definitely stay again."
"Had a really nice night’s stay with a 3 course meal each at the hotel’s restaurant and we got an upgrade to a balcony room for £15. Friendly staff and lovely luxury hotel with luxury amenities in the room too. Only improvement could be better air conditioning as the room was still quite hot even with fan unit and ceiling fan"
